Recognize This Car? New Canaan Cops Are Looking For It
The car may be involved in several vehicle break-ins in New Canaan on Aug. 5.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a car that may have been involved in three vehicle break-ins in Waveny Park on Aug. 5, according to Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
The break-ins occurred at around 6 p.m. near the park's Main House at 677 South Ave.
According to Krolikowski, the suspect vehicle had Pennsylvania plates. "A black male and a black female were seen inside of one of the victim vehicles," he added.

The victims' vehicle windows were smashed in the Waveny burglaries, and valuables were stolen (a tote bag, a purse, credit/debit cards, health insurance cards, social security cards, a driver’s license, and checks, said Krolikowski).
Similar crimes were reported in Darien on Aug. 3 and 5, and the vehicle and/or occupants possibly could have been involved in one or more of those break-ins.
