2 Women Passed Out On Church Steps With Infant: New London PD
Police said the women were passed out from drugs and alcohol, while the infant was in a stroller at the church.
NEW LONDON, CT — Police came upon a shocking incident in New London on Saturday afternoon. Two women were on the steps of a local church passed out from a combination of alcohol and drugs, while an infant was left in a stroller, police said.
At 12:38 p.m. officers responded to two females “passed out” with an infant child on the steps of the Apostolic Cathedral of Hope Church, 157 Green St., New London, police said. Officers found two unconscious females and an alert infant child in a stroller next to them, police said.
Both females displayed symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and hallucinogens, police said. The two females were eventually made conscious after efforts by the officers, police said.

Further investigation resulted in the officers locating and seizing K2 and drug paraphernalia, police said. DCF was contacted and secured custody of the infant, who was the child of Ashley Papski, police said.
