$39k Unemployment Fraud, New London Woman Goes To Prison
The woman collected benefits despite not being authorized to work in the United States.

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London woman who collected more than $39,000 in unemployment benefits illegally will be heading to prison for 18 months after pleading nolo contendere.
Yveline Louissant, 38, collected benefits between July 2009 and May 2011 despite not being legally authorized to work in the United States, according to the state Division of Criminal Justice.
She pleaded nolo contendere to third-degree larceny and first-degree failure to appear.

She failed to appear to her sentencing in October 2015 and an arrest warrant was issued. She was picked up in Groton on Dec. 22, 2017.
