The 12th Annual A Home for the Holidays, 8 p.m., CBS

The kids said to me on Sunday night, "Mom, we haven't made gingerbread people! When are we going to do that?" I immediately cursed myself for creating yet another family tradition that comes back annually to bite me. Why do I do this? "Kids," I said, "this year Mommy is launching Patches for Christmas! Isn't that fun?" I'm not going to tell you their reply, but let's just say they got that from me and not their father. Anyway, check this out, it's all about adoption and it makes me cry every year.

Pie Paradise, 10 p.m., Travel

I posted on Facebook last week that I loved Christopher Chance so much it was embarrassing, and all my friends of a certain age chimed in that they did too, and the next thing we knew we had a support group. So at least we've got that going for us.
