All-Ability Advocate to Speak on Workplace, Campus Inclusion

Hallie Hovey-Murray to share ideas on how to create more inclusive culture

Disability advocate and author Hallie Hovey-Murray presents “The Inclusion Solution” on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 7 p.m. in The Red Barn at Mitchell College, 629-A Montauk Avenue, New London, CT 06320. Part of The Leske Family Speakers Series at Mitchell College, the talk is free and open to the public.

Addressing the need to foster inclusion for Americans of all-Abilities, Hovey-Murray will speak on why employment for individuals with different-abilities remains so low, why we need comprehensive education reform for students with different-abilities, and what individuals can do to create a more inclusive culture in the workplace and on campus. She will share her personal story and the work she has done as an advocate for all-ability inclusion.

Hallie Hovey-Murray is a law school graduate, disability advocate, speaker and author. The founder and director of the One is 68 Foundation, a Virginia-based 501(c)(3), which works to help provide college preparatory resources for high school students on the Autism Spectrum, Hovey-Murray also runs Gordian Partners, LLC, an independent consulting and strategy firm with an emphasis on helping corporations to cultivate inclusive cultures, operations and policies, as well as strategies to help solve even the most daunting public policy challenges. A graduate of William & Mary School of Law and Southern Methodist University, she resides in Richmond, VA.
