Angry Man Over Tax Bill Threatens to Blow Up New London Buildings: UPDATE
Police stress that the verbal threat was non-specific and police are searching for the suspect.

UPDATE: Robert Rich, 54, of Groton, has been charged with second-degree breach of peace and threatening for allegedly verbally threatening to blow up buildings in New London after being upset about his tax bill, Fox CT reports.
Rich is alleged to have said, “Before this is over more buildings will be blown up,” and he also said, “You’ve ruined Christmas,” according to police, Fox 61 reports.
He was located at the DMV in Old Saybrook.

Original Post: New London police say a man, who was enraged over a tax bill, allegedly verbally threatened on Wednesday to blow up buildings, the New London Day reports.
The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. at the city’s tax office. Police are searching for the suspect and additional security has been added at the 15 Masonic Street location.
