Anonymous Tips Lead To 2 Arrests In New London: PD
Police said the arrests were made with assistance from the public through anonymous tips.

NEW LONDON, CT — Police said two New London men were arrested this week by officers assigned to a Quality of Life patrol initiative. According to a news release on the department's Facebook page, the arrests were made with assistance from the public through anonymous tips submitted to police.
Police said Rafaelito Taveras, 42, of New London was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of narcotics and possession of a legend drug. As a result of the arrest, officers seized an unspecified amount of heroin and approximately 292 Gabapentin pills, police said. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Arcadio Ramos, 52, of New London was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers seized approximately 15 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in association with the arrest, police said.
