Best Wait Staff Result: Dev's On Bank Street

For the week's regular Readers' Choice poll, we brought back something of the "Food Fight" aspect we've hosted between New London and Waterford. This time around, we were wondering which went above and beyond in friendliness, service, and other admirable traits.

The top picks were , , , , , and in New London along with Caffe NV and Jr's Shack in Waterford. In early voting, the honor was anyone's to take. But by the time voting came to a close on Friday, it was a dead heat between Dev's and Goldy's.

Dev's managed to capture the honor with 183 out of 491 votes cast, or 38 percent. Goldy's was a close second with 164 votes (33 percent), while Mr. G's was third with 54 votes (10 percent). The Waterford restaurants were next, with Caffe NV getting 35 votes (7 percent) and Jr's Shack 25 (5 percent). Rounding things out were Hot Rod Cafe with 20 votes, Tony D's with eight, and Monica's State Street Diner with two.

"Can't say enough about the wait staff at Dev's," user Mike Vittone commented. "Prompt and courteous are two words that instantly come to mind when I think of Dev's service. If your dissatisfied with service from other restaurants feel confident in putting your trust in Dev's."
