New London Blizzard 2015: What You Need to Know

Welcome to New London’s hub article for the Jan. 26-27 blizzard. We will be updating this article with information as the storm goes on.

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, Reminder:

All New London Public Schools will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 28. 

8:40 p.m. Update

• The emergency shelter for New London is open. Address: Martin Center, 120 Broad St.

• Parking Ban: Effective until further notice
• No parking on any streets in the downtown area
• No parking on narrow streets
• Where parking is permitted on only one side of the street, follow posted regulations
• Where parking is permitted on both sides of the street, park on the even side of the street only
• During winter parking bans, free parking for downtown residents is available in the municipal parking garage located on Water Street .
