Bullet Shot Through New London Home This Morning
Shots fired in New London prompted numerous 911 calls to police the morning of Friday, Oct. 30.

New London Police responded to the area of Ashcraft Road and Cape Ann Court at 1:58 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, after receiving numerous 911 calls reporting multiple gunshots fired.
Police arrived on scene and found numerous shell casings and several bullet fragments in the roadway, according to New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard.
“A house was damaged during the incident as a bullet had passed through the window of the residence,” he said. “Police were able to stop a vehicle that matched the description of one of the vehicles involved in the incident and seen driving away from the scene. Pursuant to the stop, the operator of that car was cited for motor vehicle violations.”

No injuries were reported during the incident. Detectives remained on scene to assist the patrol units.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with witness information is asked to call the New London Police Department’s Detective Bureau at (860) 447-1481. All calls will be kept confidential.
