New London officials plan to shore up the city's security protocol before a visit from President Trump next week.

NEW LONDON, CT - New London officials plan to shore up the city’s security protocol before a visit from President Trump next week, the New London Day reported. Trump will be coming to New London on Wednesday.

The President will arrive in the city next week for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation, according to the New London Day. City officials expect to meet with representatives from the U.S. Secret Service on Thursday to hammer out details of the city’s security plan. Groups planning rallies or protests will also be told what areas are off-limits after the meeting Thursday, the New London Day reported. The Parks and Recreation Commission request for exclusive use of McKinley Park off Williams Street for a Trump welcoming rally.
