Convicted Felon Arrested on Weapons Charges in New London
Police said the suspect was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon among other charges.
NEW LONDON, CT - Police arrested a man on weapons and other charges Friday after searching his New London apartment.
Officers executed a search and seizure warrant at a Prest Street, basement apt apartment at approximately 12:30 p.m., according to a release. Officers located and seized a loaded 9mm semi-auto pistol, a 12 gauge shotgun, and an ample supply of ammunition.
Stanley Comer, 53, of New London was subsequently arrested following the search. He was charged possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a sawed off shotgun, and possession of large capacity magazines.

Police said Comer is a convicted felon and is being held on $175,000 bond. Police are still investigating the situation.
