District 10 (10-11) 07/02/03

In the first game for Mystic and New London in the 10-11 division of the District 10 tournament, New London behind the strong pitching of Robert O'Tanez and Tyler Gmyr, was able to pull out a thrilling 3-2 win. The winning run was scored on a Christopher Medina game winning single in the bottom of the 7th inning. The single drove in Elijah Robinson from second base. Robinson scored 2 of the 3 runs, in reaching base safely all 3 times he was up. With Javan Cooper scoring the other for New London. For Mystic Pacey Steele was able to use his arm and his defense behind him to shut New London down for the first 3 innings. Giovanni Valentine was able to come in after Steele and piched effectively for close to 4 innings. Both teams played well, and as a fan it was a great game to watch.
