New London scored four runs in the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie and went on to beat Pawcatuck/North Stonington 4-1.
With the win, New London advanced to the best-of-three District 10 finals against East Lyme, opening at 7 p.m. Thursday in East Lyme.
Christopher Medina's triple sparked New London's big inning while Tyler Gmyr and Angel De Jesus had RBI hits. Robert O'Tanez pitched a complete game to earn the win and added a double.
Pawcatuck's Justin McKenna pitched well in defeat while Nate Hopkins doubled and scored on Will Cannella's single in the sixth.
