New London defeated Colchester 10-3 behind the combined pitching of Elijah Martinez, Shaun Cambisca and Brandon Beck on opening night of the District 10 Little League (11-12) baseball tournament.
The teams played the only game of the night in the tournament due to rain.
Martinez had 3 RBI, while going 3-for-3, and struck out 13 batters. Cambisca had 2 RBI, reaching base twice. Cole Potts was able to reach base all four times at bat.
