Elks Lodge To Honor Local Law Enforcement

The will honor law enforcement personnel from around the region with a .

The lodge will hold a social hour beginning at 6 p.m. and a dinner at 7 p.m., with an awards ceremony to follow. The event is being chaired by retired police officers Herb Eldridge and Bruce Rinehart.

The annual event honors police officers, emergency dispatchers, and corrections officers. The following people are being honored this year:

• Officer Marc Balestracci, Waterford Police Department
• Officer James Levandoski, East Lyme Police Department
• Sergeant Earnest Greenwood, Montville Police Department
• Dispatcher Corey Gaetano, Montville Police Department
• Trooper Armando Bettini, Connecticut State Police Troop E
• Dispatcher Russell Wehner Jr., Connecticut State Police Troop E
• Officer Diane Dolan, Mohegan Tribal Police
• Dispatcher Elaine Main, Mohegan Tribal Police
• Correctional Officer Patrick Birchall, York Correctional Institution
• Correctional Officer Todd Samul, Corrigan Correctional Institution
