Down by the Riverside

The second annual event, “Down by the Riverside” put together by the Riverside Park Nature Conservancy, will take place 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, September 15.

A full schedule of musical events, food, vendors, children’s activities, en plein air artists, flash dancing and more.

Two walks will take place. At 11 a.m. Glenn Dreyer, director of Connecticut College’s Arboretum, will identify with participants the native species in the park. At 1 p.m. there will be a walk led by University of Connecticut’s Landscape Architects Peter Miniutti and Madeline Schad, who will listen to walkers’ suggestions for new ideas and changes in the park.

The Riverside Park Conservancy's mission is to promote the use of Riverside Park and raise funds for very necessary improvements.
