You know spring has finally arrived when New London’s Historic Waterfront District hosts this signature event! Produced by New London Main Street, the Spring Food Stroll is Wednesday, May 11th from 5:30-8:30pm.
Two dozen of downtown’s finest eateries will be offering up sumptuous tastes of their popular menu items. The selections are sure to get you thinking of warmer weather. Many of New London’s eateries will be serving summer inspired dishes with a new twist! East Coast Catering’s Atrium Café will be whipping up sweet & savory blackened shrimp, while Chaplin’s on Bank Street will be serving a variation on a New England favorite – a tasty lobster corn chowder. In addition to their famous wings, Hot Rod Café will be previewing samples from their soon to open Tio Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill and Me & Ma’s are serving seafood manicotti. Gourmet Galley Catering at the Crocker House will pull out all the stops by serving sweet and savory crepes: berries & yogurt, bananas & nutella, arugula & mantago and chicken & creamy tarragon. Dev’s on Bank will offer their signature painted grapes and Captain’s Pizza will serve a roasted spring vegetable pizza.
In addition to the eateries, Strollers will want to visit over 20 shops offering snacks and specials. Several merchants will offer samples from caterers: Studio 33 hosts Mariah’s Chow Chow Relish; New London Harbour Towers hosts On the Waterfront; Spirit Gallery will host Rita’s Water Ice; Hygienic Art, Inc. will host Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock and Savings Institute Bank & Trust will host Orsini’s Sausage.

While strolling throughout The District, attendees can enjoy free musical performances by some of the best local talent - Daphne Lee Martin & Raise the Rent, The Rivergods, Monkey68 and the New London Firefighters Pipes & Drums.

Buttons are $25 in advance, $30 Stroll Day; Military and Students are $20 in advance, $25 Stroll Day with ID. Children under 5 stroll free. Advanced purchased buttons can be picked up Stroll night at the in front of the Main Street office after 5pm. 50% off parking at Water Street Parking Garage and Cornish Parking Garage.
