Calling All Gardeners - Hundreds of old-fashioned, heirloom and hybrid organic seedlings from Urban Oaks Organic Farm ready for planting in your gardens and containers will be on sale from 2:00-7:00 p.m. (or until plants sell out) on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Deep River Elementary School, River Street, Deep River, CT. Tomato varieties include cherry, plum & large meaty beefsteak styles; Italian and Asian varieties of eggplants, sweet bell peppers, hot peppers and an assortment of basils. Prices: Vegetable seedlings - $4 and Basil seedlings - $3. All proceeds go directly to the DRES PTO.
