Voice of Africa

Become excited, motivated and educated about little-known facts about African American history!

Alfredo Allen, an educator at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum, displays his family-friendly, informative in-depth exhibit, “Voice of Africa,” in the Community Room. Mr. Allen spent more than 15 years researching and collecting information about the achievements made by African
Americans.

The exhibit shares facts about black scientists, inventors, doctors, businessmen, civil rights leaders and more. A quick quiz to test your knowledge is part of the exhibit. This exhibit is perfect for the whole family!
