Fill The Spot: 353 Colman Street

What should replace the former Wings n Pies site?

If, like me, you're hoping to test out all the different kinds of pizza New London has to offer and haven't yet gotten to , don't worry. Even though we're using photos from the restaurant's listing, they're still in business. They moved recently to 269 North Frontage Road, where they now send out those wings and pies from inside the Clarion Inn.

So what does that leave at 353 Colman Street? A total of 12,653 square feet of space to fill with a new business, according to city records. The building might not be the most aesthetically pleasing one we've ever featured here. These records note that the building was constructed in 1922, has a style listed simply as "fast food restaurant," and the primary building material is concrete cinder blocks.

Still, this business is located in a bustling business district in New London. Several fast food restaurants line the double lane one-way street, but before the street transitions into a residential neighborhood you can also find a number of other businesses. It might be easiest for a restaurant to move into a former restaurant space, but it's not the only thing that could go in the building.
