Gaskin Now Accused Of Twice Violently Raping Middle School Girl

NEW LONDON, CT—She was then 13, in the seventh grade, when Corriche Gaskin violently raped her in his office at Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School and then threatened to kill her if she said anything, the girl told investigators last month, according to a report and court documents. And then he did it again, she told police, in a school closet when she was in the eighth grade. The rape was so traumatic that "she returned to class and was so visibly upset that the teacher told her to sit in the rear of the class to calm down."

The rapes occurred in March of 2016 and June of 2017, according to court documents.

According to The Day, the disturbing and graphic details came Friday when previously-sealed probable cause and other documents were unsealed in court.

On June 27, New London Police arrested Corriche Gaskin at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on an active arrest warrant on two second-degree sexual assault charges and two charges of risk of injury to a minor.

Police said the charges are "in association" with the ongoing investigation involving Gaskin, 35, and "criminal activity with youth" he was while employed as a Climate Specialist with the New London public school system.

Per the arrest affidavit and search warrants, as reported, the girl, who babysat Gaskin's kids had denied any sexual contact with the educator. But in early June, told investigators about the alleged rapes.

She said on the first occasion, Gaskin called her to his office and told her to lift her shirt. She said no, an answer he would not take, she claims. The Day reported she told police he "pushed her onto a desk, pulled her clothes off and raped her." And, he told her not to "tell anyone about the incident or he would kill her, citing that he has children and he would tell her mother that she came onto him,” it was reported citing the arrest warrant affidavit.

In 2017, when she was in the eighth grade, Gaskin allegedly pulled her into a "storage closet at the school," the news report reads. The girl told police she tried to get away, but Gaskin said, “Stop being a slut you know you want it,” and then raped her.

"She returned to class and was so visibly upset that the teacher told her to sit in the rear of the class to calm down," the paper reported, citing court documents.

Gaskin is also alleged to have had sex at Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School with two female teachers. He was initially charged with one count of risk of injury to a child. He was given a $100,000 bail and he bonded out. That was in April. But a month later, he was once again arrested and charged with four counts of risk of injury to a minor, second-degree sexual assault, possession of child pornography and dissemination of child porn and "voyeurism with malice."

Gaskin is alleged to have shared sex videos with students, police said.

Gaskin, who was arrested "without incident" in the jail, where he's been since May on a $500,000 bond. In this latest round of charges, his bond was set at $150,000 cash.

He's due back in court Aug. 1.
