Hygienic Amphitheater Project Moving Forward in New London

NEW LONDON, CT - City officials recently said plans for a Hygienic Art Galleries and Art Park amphitheater and other enhancement projects are moving forward, according to the New London Day. The approved plans are the first of a series of planned enhancement projects for the space.

The $300,000 amphitheater project was approved last week by the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission, the New London Day reported. The plan calls for a 60-by-60-foot roof that will cover the art park’s outdoor seating area. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Project officials said the project could triple the number of performances held at that space, according to the New London Day. They also said the project will ideally be completed before the Hygienic Howling Halloween Bash.
