IFBB Pro Roxanne Edwards Career and the loss of fellow body builder Terri Harris By Christopher Annino

 The beauty & science of taking the human form & turning it in to a walking talking work of art is what female pro body builder Roxanne Edwards believes. Roxanne is one of the top competitors in her sport and has had much success. She also has had great loss not too long ago one of her friend’s fellow body builder Terri Harris unexpectedly passed away. This sent shockwaves throughout the sport.

“Terri was a remarkable person. She was the embodiment of confidence & warmth. Although I only knew her for a short time it felt like we had been friends for the longest. She made you feel comfortable because she was comfortable in her own skin. I found her to be funny, relaxed, genuinely supportive & still very confident in her own abilities. My fondest memory of Terri was when she text me in 2011 after she had decided that she was not going to compete in the nationals that year. In effect the txt simply read "Tag Ur it. If It's not gonna be me. It should be you" I was at once touched by her support & blown away by her utter confidence in me. She didn't just say things she acted on what she said. Terri showed up to give me support at nationals that year. I could hear her voice in the audience cheering me on & she was the one of the first to congratulate me, such was the spirit of Terri” said Roxanne.

Body building is judged on muscle definition and routine. It is truly an art how Roxanne got interested in it was watching the Tina Turner film “What’s love got to do” “I noticed both the actress portraying Tina Turner & Tina Turner herself were both older than me & both had BETTER bodies than me...that was a Saturday. That following Mon I went to the gym & never looked back. That was 1995. I didn't choose body building it chose me.”  Some other individuals that Roxanne looks up because of principals, spirituality, drive and keeping ones word are Muhammad Ali, Victor Martinez, Kai Greene and Bernard Hopkins. Roxanne is a aspiring athlete that keeps on growing and improving every time she competes.
