Ledyard Man Going to Jail for Child Pornography Possession

Ledyard resident James M. Demay, 28, a former Groton resident, reportedly admitted to viewing child pornography in 2014, according to The Day.

At a Wednesday, May 13, court date, Demay was issued the following sentence:

• 5 years in prison (suspended after two years served)
• 10 years of probation

He must register as a sex offender. During the probation period, Demay is not allowed to have any contact with minors, may not view any pornographic material and cannot use computers.
