With so much focus on babies this week, it only seems appropriate to meet a labor and delivery nurse for this RN Wednesday.
Jessie Maksim has been a nurse at L+M for 10 years, and she truly loves it. A certified lactation consultant, Jessie’s passion is helping new mothers breastfeed their babies.
"I love to teach and prepare parents for their new roles,” she says. “I feel lucky to have the opportunity to be involved with the miracle of life that happens every day. I am also the mother of three happy breast-fed boys, ages 8, 6, and 18 months."
