Loss of Garde Arts Society May Force Altercations to New London School Construction Plan

NEW LONDON, CT – The school district is considering building one of the state’s largest public school campuseson the current site of New London High School, according to The Day.
The idea comes on the heels of the district losing a partnership with the Garde Arts Society, The Day reported.This has resulted in a potential loss of $31 million in state funds.
The loss of partnership has also resulted in skyrocketing cost estimates for one of the two campuses where the district intended to build two schools for grades 6-12, The Day reported. One of the schools would be located at New London High School.
