Man Arrested On Narcotics Charges: New London PD

Police said a New London man was arrested after he was found to have crack cocaine during a motor vehicle stop.

NEW LONDON, CT — Police said a New London man was arrested after he was found to have crack cocaine during a motor vehicle stop. The incident occurred Tuesday at approximately 3:14 p.m.

According to police, 31-year-old Nicholas Silva was stopped in the area of Broad Street and Morgan Street. After further investigation, the accused was found to have approximately 6.8 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale in his possession, police said.

The accused was arrested on charges of Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell, according to police.
