Man Fatally Stabbed In New London, 2nd Homicide This Weekend
Police are searching for the suspect.

NEW LONDON, CT — For the second straight day a homicide has been reported in New London. Police said late Sunday that a fatal stabbing occurred on Tilley Street. Police are investigating and asking the public for any assistance in helping to solve the case.
At about 8:35 p.m. Sunday, police received a 911 call conceding a male stabbed in the chest at 39 Tilley St. When police and fire crews arrived on the scene they found an adult male with a stab wound to the upper chest lying on the steps of the 2nd floor of 39 Tilley St., police said.
Medical attention was immediately initiated on the located victim. The male was subsequently transported to L+M Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The scene was secured and a canvass of the area was initiated by police.

New London police detectives responded to investigate the incident. The New London States Attorney’s office also responded to scene. The identity of the deceased male is pending, police said.
