Man Found Guilty In New London 2018 Stabbing Homicide: DOJ
Christopher Petteway was found guilty of stabbing a man to death in 2018 and will face up to 70 years in prison.
NEW LONDON, CT — A jury found Christopher Petteway guilty of murder and violation of a protective order in connection to a 2018 homicide, according to a statement from the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice. Petteway was accused of stabbing his former partner in October 2018.
Evidence from the five-day trial detailed that Petteway had traveled from Bridgeport, confronted Parise, and stabbed Parise multiple times, leading to his death, according to the statement.
Petteway faces a maximum sentence of 70 years in prison. He is scheduled for sentencing in New London Superior Court on June 20.

Their assistance was invaluable.”
Petteway, who has a history of mental illness, was found competent to stand trial in 2019. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
