The victim said the bridge should have already been treated by the DOT when he was traveling.

NEW LONDON, CT – The victim of a crash more than five years ago is attempting to sue the state over black ice on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge, The Day reported.

Barry Graham of Dartmouth, Mass., said his truck spun out on the bridge in December 2011 due to black ice, according to The Day. His complaint said the bridge should have already been treated by the state Department of Transportation at the time he was traveling.

Police said Graham had injured his back, neck, shoulder, hand, mouth and teeth as a result of the accident, The Day reported. The Gold Star Memorial Bridge spans across the Thames River from New London to Groton.
