Masked Man Attempts Armed Robbery in New London: Police (Updated)
New London police have made an arrest in the attempted robbery.

At approximately 4 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, an armed masked man walked into the DB Mart with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk, according to New London Police Deputy Chief Peter Reichard.
DB Mart is located at 268 Bank St. Two patrons in the store were ordered to the floor by the masked man, police said. The clerk refused to open the cash register and the suspect allegedly threatened to shoot the clerk.
The suspect was unable to open the cash register, police said. As he was leaving the store, he removed his mask.

Police are looking for a black male with a bald head, 5’7 to 5’9 tall, weighing approximately 210-220 lbs.
He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants and carrying a gray backpack.
The store surveillance system captured photos of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing and police are following up on leads.
If anyone has information or recognizes the suspect in the photo they are asked to call the New London Police Department at 860-442-4444. All calls will remain confidential.
