Missing Man Found Dead in Car in New London
Fairfield police reported a missing man in the area of New London's Clarion Inn. Police located the body on Sunday, Jan. 11.

At approximately 6;43 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, Fairfield police contacted New London police about a missing person from Fairfield.
They informed New London police that the missing man may have been in the area of the Clarion Inn, located at 269 North Frontage Rd., New London.
OnStar’s automobile satellite system indicated the missing person’s car was in the general area off of North Frontage Road.

Police arrived on scene and located the car. According to New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard, officers found an unresponsive man in the car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, Reichard said. Members of the New London Detective Division and personnel from the Office of the State Medical Examiner assisted with the investigation.

Fairfield police were informed and are in the process of identifying the next of kin, Reichard said. The investigation is ongoing.
