Murder Arrest Announced by New London Police: BREAKING
Police just announced an arrest in the murder case.

NEW LONDON, CT — New London Police announced an arrest in a murder committed earlier this month. Late Monday, police said that members of the New London Police Department’s Investigative Services Division along with members of the Connecticut State Police - Statewide Narcotics Task Force-East arrested David Carson Edwards, 39, (A.K.A. “DC Edwards” / “Jerzey”) of Steward Street for the murder of Joshua Fine on April 2 in the area of Elm Street and Garfield Avenue.
Edwards was arrested by warrant at his identified address without incident. He is being held on a $1,500,000 cash-surety court set bond.
At the time of homicide, police said they were investigating after a man was shot and killed in the area of Elm Street and Garfield Avenue at approximately 1:04 a.m. Police said the victim was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound, and he was immediately given medical attention. He was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician, according to a release earlier this month.
