New London Alliance Offers Narcan Kits and Training

The Alliance gave away Narcan kits and taught people how to use them so they might be able to save someone's life.

NEW LONDON, CT – Ordinary citizens were given the opportunity Wednesday to learn how to save someone’s life the way a paramedic might, according to News 8.

An outreach effort by The Alliance for Living gave away Narcan kits in Williams Park and taught people how to use them, according to News 8. Theoretically, the kits could give anyone the ability to save life in a matter of seconds.

Each kit comes with two doses of Narcan and a face shield, allowing people to breathe safely into a victim’s lungs, according to News 8. The training and kits were offered as part of International Overdose Awareness Day.
