New London Business Among Nation's Top Audi Dealerships

A car dealership on Broad Street has distinguished itself as one of the top performing businesses of its class.

Audi of America recognized as one of 10 dealerships earning the 2011 Audi Elite Magna Society Award. This honor indicates that these dealerships’ performance during the year “stood out as the best of the best.”

Joe Thomas, general manager of Hoffman Audi, said the ranking is done each year. It is based on a number of factors including quarterly inspections, how well dealerships are meeting business and customer service objectives, and business models. Thomas said the company looks at the objectives of each individual area, including sales, parts, and service departments.

“It’s a pretty big honor to have Audi recognize us,” said Thomas. “We’re a pretty small dealership.”

Thomas said Hoffman Audi employs about 22 people. It is part of the Hoffman Auto Group, a network of 10 dealerships including another Audi business in Hartford.

Hoffman Audi has been in New London since 2004.

Audi of America also recognized 106 dealerships as belonging to the Magna Society “by providing superlative customer service while achieving strong overall business performance.”
