New London Church Holds Black Lives Matter Demonstration at Courthouse

Members said 90 percent of the reaction they got was positive.

NEW LONDON, CT – Following the deaths of two black men and a child, a local church’s Sunday morning Black Lives Matter demonstration took to the streets, Fox 61 reported.

The All Souls Unitarian Universalist congregation moved their weekly vigil to the New London Courthouse, according to Fox 61. The move was prompted by the deaths of Terence Crutcher, Tyre King and Keith Scott, who were all killed by police officers.

Members said 90 percent of the reaction they got was positive, according to Fox 61. Many people passing by either waved, gave a thumbs up or honked their horns.
