Things to keep in mind…………………

Websites or apps that claim to track COVID-19 cases worldwide. Scammers are using these fake sites to lure people in and lock them out of their devices until they pay a ransom.

“Phishing” emails were the fraudsters ask a recipient to verify personal information supposedly to receive an economic-stimulus check from the government.

People calling, claiming to be from the CDC, asking people to make a reservation to be vaccinated with a credit card and social security number. Another scam is similar, with callers asking for your information for a coronavirus test.

Texts or emails asking you to click a link for information on the virus. But the link spreads malware to your phone or device. There are others asking for donations or selling products the scammers claim cure the virus.

You must be on guard against scammers at all times.

Don’t be a victim.
