New London Fair Highlights Resources for Addiction Recovery

Rather than cotton candy and tilt-a-whirls, this fair highlighted places to go when facing issues with addiction.

NEW LONDON, CT- The HOPE Fair was held Wednesday to spread awareness about the many resources available in New London for those struggling with addiction, The Day reported.

The fair appropriately took place in the parking lot of the Southeastern Council of Alcoholism and Drug Dependence’s acute care and detox facility, according to The Day. The fair’s title, HOPE, stands for Happy Our Programs Exist

The fair hosted informational tables of organizations that offer recovery care facilities and treatments, as reported by The Day. The event was developed in partial response to a recent claim that there are not many treatment and recovery programs in the community.
