New London Hearing Youth Voices Group Wins $50,000 Award
The group won out over finalists from across the region.
NEW LONDON, CT - New London youth advocacy group, Hearing Youth Voices, has earned a $50,000 award, The Day reported.
The New England philanthropic organization won the youth organizing award from the Nellie Mae Education Foundation, according to The Day. The group won out over seven finalists from across the region.
The group received 6,532 votes out of more than 18,000 ballots cast, The Day reported. The Nellie Mae Education Foundation is the largest philanthropic organization in New England.
