New London Hires New Blight Officer

NEW LONDON, CT - A new blight officer has been hired by the city to help boost the quality of life for residents, The Day reported.

Kenyone Haye, 33, was hired last month as the new blight property maintenance reviewer, according to The Day. The position has been compared to that of a human resources director.

Haye’s position will be focused on handling complaints and tackling blighted properties, The Day reported. He will also be developing relationships and prodding some homeowners and landlords to take action on their properties.
