New London Hodges Square Listed on State Register of Historic Places

The designation is the result of unanimous approval by the state Historic Preservation Review Board.

NEW LONDON, CT – The city announced Tuesday that the Hodges Square Historic District is now listed on the state register of historic places, The Day reported.

The designation is the result of unanimous approval by the state Historic Preservation Review Board, according to The Day. The decision will be forwarded to the National Park Service for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hodges Square is now eligible for historical markers from the state Historic Preservation Office, The Day reported. The district is now also eligible for federal and state tax incentives for historical rehabilitation.
