New London Holds Discussion on Community and Police Relations
A number of topics, including race and mental health, were touched on at the panel.

NEW LONDON, CT – A panel was held Thursday to discuss the relationship between the New London Police department and the community, The Day reported.
The panel was hosted by City Council and Mayor Michael Passero, according to The Day. It was assessed that communication and the relationship on a whole between the community and police could be improved.
The panel touched on a number of topics, including race relations and mental health issues, The Day reported. It was also noted that a lack of manpower for the department has hindered police efforts to build community relationships and outreach.
