New London to Host Drug Take Back Event this Weekend
Multiple locations across southeastern Connecticut will be hosting drug take back events over the weekend.

NEW LONDON, CT - Multiple locations across southeastern Connecticut will be hosting drug take back events on Saturday, April 29. The event allows residents to drop off their unwanted medications and dispose of them safely.
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. The event is also an attempt to educate the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.

Departments from Southeatern Connecticut taking part include:
- New London Police Department (5 Governor Winthrop Boulevard), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Stonington Police Department (173 S. Broad Street), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Groton Senior Center (102 Newtown Road), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Old Lyme Firehouse (69 Lyme Street), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Norwich Police Headquarters (70 Thames Street), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
