New London to Host Kansas City Barbecue Society Championship Cook-Off in August

NEW LONDON, CT- The City of New London and the Downtown New London Association will host the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) championship cook-off once again this summer

This year will mark the fifth year in a row the competition has been held. The event will take place on August 14 at New London Waterfront Park.

Teams from all over New England will be competing. According to the event page on Facebook, the teams are there to compete and cannot sell food.

Food trucks will fulfill that need, however, and be selling BBQ food for the event. Uncle D’s Blazin BBQ will be back for the third year selling pulled pork, ribs, and chicken with all the fixins’.

All are urged and watch a competition filled with fierce competitors, hungry for a victory.
