New London Man Accused of Robbing Ravi Mart Pleads Not Guilty
The man appeared in superior court earlier today.

The New London man accused of robbing the Ravi Mart convenience store on Bank Street at gunpoint pleaded not guilty in Superior Court this morning, the Day of New London reports.
Kirk Skinner, 49, entered the store on Oct. 18 around 4 a.m. and attempted to rob the store pointing a gun at the clerk, the paper reports. The man eventually left the store with a cigarette after the clerk refused to give him money recognizing him as a regular.
Skinner is also charged with another incident at the Ravi Mart that occurred on Aug. 29.

According to the paper, Skinner is being held in lieu of $49,000 cash on charges of first-degree robbery with a firearm, second-degree larceny and criminal possession of a firearm. The case has been continued to Jan. 7.
