New London Man Arrested On Gun-Related Charges

GROTON, CT - Groton police said a New London man was arrested last week on gun-related charges. A Smith & Wesson Sigma .40 caliber pistol with a high capacity magazine was seized during the investigation, according to a release.

Officers arrested Jesus M. Vazquez of New London on gun-related charges Tuesday, May 16, police said. The suspect was charged with possession of a pistol without a permit, possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, police said. The Regional Community Enhancement Task Force assisted in the arrest, police said. Anyone with information regarding illegal drug activity is asked to contact police immediately.
