New London Man Target of Home Invasion, Assault: Police
Three New London residents were arrested on charges of home invasion and assault after allegedly attacking a man with a baseball bat.

New London police responded to the area of the apartment complex at 163 Huntington St., at approximately 7:06 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, to investigate a report of a man assaulted by men with baseball bats.
Upon arrival, police located the victim, who had non-life threatening injuries to his face and body, according to a press release from New London Deputy Chief Peter Reichard.
The man declined medical treatment, police said. He reportedly knew all of the alleged attackers by name and eliminated the notion of a random attack.

He told police he was beaten on the face and body with baseball bats and a golf club.
During the investigation, police learned that the alleged attack and home invasion stemmed from a domestic-related arrest from the day before.
