New London and Other Law Libraries in State Reducing Hours

The changes have come about due to budget constraints.

NEW LONDON, CT – Hours for law libraries in New London Superior Court and others across the state are being cut back due to budget constraints, The Day reported.

The hour changes will begin Sept. 1, according to The Day. The library at the Huntington Street courthouse will be closed on Thursdays starting then.

Seven of the 12 law libraries in state courthouses will be open four days a week, according to The Day. There are currently 14 full-time law librarians, contrasting to the past when the state had 27 full-time law librarians.
