New London Plans $1 Million Veterans Field Renovation
The city is hoping to restore the field, formerly known as Morgan Park, to an improved state.
NEW LONDON, CT – City officials will send out to bid a renovation plan for Veterans Field, pending state approval, The Day reported.
The plan will reportedly cost nearly $1 million, according to The Day. The field has been closed to the public since 2003.
The city obtained state funds totaling $1.7 million to add soil and encapsulate the site with fabric, The Day reported. The project will attempt to bring the field back to its former glory.
